Dodo Chair
The
Dodo
is a swivel armchair designed by Toshiyuki Kita for Cassina. It sits
on a fixed base, which can become a chaise lounge with different
positions. The headrest and footrest fold up or down. The adjustment
mechanism is simple and two fold: a small lever operates a gas
spring, which affects the tilt; a side handle operates the footrest.
A simple, single movement returns the back to the upright position.
The lever, handle and base are nickel-plated steel. Available in
fixed fabric or leather upholstery. Removable over covers in special
fabrics are available for head and footrest.
