Panton Velvet

Danish designer Verner Panton spent many years contemplating how to produce a chair molded from a single piece of plastic.  His achievement, The Panton Chair, was first introduced in 1967 and became a design icon of the 20th century.  Panton's original design featured a soft surface, but the flocking techniques of the period did not produce a satisfactory finish, Vitra, in close cooperation with the Panton family, used updated techniques to successfully produce Panton's original concept with a soft velvety surface, or Panton Velvet.  The 20 fuchsia-pink limited edition Panton Velvets debuted at Mobitare Miami during Art Basel 2006.

  Optic

This faceted cube is an exciting object with its transparent or mirrored parts, which create a special atmosphere through the images it reflects.  Optics a container cube in PMMA, which comes in two versions: closed with a door or with one open side.  Its surface is decorated with square-based pyramids, which, whether transparent or mirrored, create a strong visual impact.  Optic offers a myriad of potential or by creating linear compositions.  Depending on the quality and arrangement, the cubes can fulfill a variety of needs.

Yin Yang

Janus et Cie's Yin Yang lounge furnit8ure by Dedon uni8tes the dynamic opposites of ancient Chinese philosophy into a harmonious interplay of co9lor and form.  The bronze-and platinum-colored fibers in this collection  of indoor/outdoor furniture reflect this harmony in alternating convex an concave surfaces.  This latest signature collection was inspired by time and tide.  This flowing from of each Yin Yang chaise incorporates 4,000 meters of fiber, a production challenge for even the most exp0erienced artisans.  Like more traditional tete-a-tete seating, Yin Yang provides comfort and the option of face-to-face conversation for two in one contemporary design.
