Sailing at Midnight

The piece is a 48" x 36" Oil on Canvas by Hector Armendariz Martinez.

Martinez is a traditional artist whose academic training brings together both the rigor of classic expression and the magic of symbolic representation.  His work combines a sense of the mystic with subtle eroticism.  While accepting the finality of the past, this artist gives us a vision of the future.

Woman’s Work

Recently seen at Artformz Alternative is "Woman's Work" a magnificent suspended sculpture made of crystal and gemstone beads, woven wire, the artist's personal keepsakes and all sorts of other found objects.

The piece can be interpreted as either a fantastical jelly fish or as the artist intends – an abstract/autobiographical form depicting the female soul/womb and the fruits of life.
